Dressage/english prospect Willing to please ? Teddy bear disposition ? Calm in a crisis? Meet Boogie, a 16.2hh, 12 yo gelding. He is registered APHA but is dark bay. Boogie is looking to rebrand himself and get into the English world. He was started western, but is a versatile guy and works wonderfully in an English setting as well. He’s been exposed to all the sites and sounds. Ride him bareback or under saddle, he’s just as gentle either way. Loves a good trail ride. A true goober at heart, he’s just happy to be around. He picks up his feet well, stands well for the farrier, trailers well, loves water and baths. Best in a gelding only herd, tends to be middle or bottom on the pack. I’ve owned him for 7 years and he’s never colicked. Well mannered on the ground and under saddle. Not a runner when you go to catch him in the pasture. Not a menace in the stall either. He’s an easy keeper, low maintenance gelding looking for his forever home. He wants to please, just needs someone to lead him in the right direction. No buck, rear, or bolt. Works comfortably at the walk, trot, and canter; backs willingly, side passes, turns on the forehand and haunches, and can pick up the canter directly from a walk. Soft mouth, responds to light leg and rein cues and understands his job in the arena. Can be lunged easily. Best suited for any level of experience confident rider who appreciates a horse with buttons and feel. He has been on a handful of trial rides and has handled them well, has gone up and down steep hills and jumped over crevasse. Personality: Total in your pocket horse.
